Cake Pops or Sugar Bombs as I like to call them!

Hey All!

Well it’s been a few days since my last post…….sorry.  I really need to get more organized!  I am looking for suggestions on how to get more organized!  What do you do to keep your hectic schedule on track?  Do you use a computerized calendar?  An old fashioned dayplanner that you handwrite your schedule in?  Send me your suggestions and be entered in a draw for one dozen of my new product……..Sugar Bombs!  I will make the draw on Friday, January 12th at 9 o’clock AST.

These are the perfect thing for your Valentine sweetheart.  Tell all your friends!  It’s something different, fun, portable and DELICIOUS!  Each Sugar Bomb is comprised of cake, icing and candy coating…..all in a neat little golf sized (two bite) ball.  They are absolutely adorable and kids will LOVE them.  Kids generally like anything on a stick with any sort of reference to sugar, lollipops, or cake :)    You can customize them to suit your taste, picking a cake flavour, an icing flavour and a candy coating flavour AND colour.  I made some all vanilla today and boy, are they delectable.  The candy coating keeps the cake moist and flavourful for a longer period than a regular iced cake.

Sugar Bombs!

Besides seeking your sage advice on organization, and introducing my brand new product, I wanted to introduce you to my youngest “child”, George.  I mentioned him in my previous post and thought I shouldn’t keep you eagerly awaiting any longer……so without further ado, here he is :)   I’m sure he’ll gain more of a following than I!  He is soooooo sweet.

George!

I have never ever met a cat so loving and who thinks he is human as much as George does.  They told me that at the shelter where I got him almost ten years ago and I never could have imagined how accurate their assessment of him would be.

Please respond with suggestions for my organizational issues and remember your entry qualifies you to win some of my YUMMY creations!  Hubby, in response to your question…..you can comment but you are not eligible to win.  HaHa!  I’ll make you something nice for Valentines Day!

 Bakefully Yours,

Shannon

Hi Shannon, well I like to call myself the Queen of organization. I love to do it and always come up with new and different ways to keep organized in all areas of my life. Here are a few suggestions on how I keep my life (personal & professional), husband’s life (personal & professional), and my two kid’s lives organized. First of all myself and my husband have a personal handheld device that comes with a calender to help us keep organized on an individual level. Mine is a blackberry and his is an itouch both have the ability to send you reminders to what you have scheduled in your calender and you can have the reminders sent to you whenever you like (ie an hour before the event, the day before, the week before, etc). Then to keep each other’s lives and the kid’s lives organized I have what I call command central in the house, which is a message board made with fabric (made by me) that can hold paper etc. There you will find the calender of the month with my events, his and the kids written on them so we know what is in store for the month. Then also in the kitchen I have a chalk board that has the days of the week on it and there I write down the things for the week so we can all see what is going on for the week, so there are no surprises in store for us.

So I guess you could say that I do a combination of electronic and hand written schedules/calenders, both are effective, and work really well together. If you need any more ideas regarding being organized, because like I mentioned I love to do it and help others do it as well.

Great tips Sandy! I actually have an iPhone and just have not utilized the calendar feature as much as I could. I find that I am very visual and like to see all the days of the month with “To Do” items listed in each……but want to get away from handwritten calendars. I recently heard about a feature on Google…..Google calendars I think…..that’s let’s you enter several and then sync them all into one. Have you ever used this?

I’ll be reading the comments as I could use some help at work. I use my email Inbox as a ‘to do list’. Not sure this is the best way but after almost 4 years here, I haven’t been in trouble yet.
Priorities are hard to set since the next email could change it all. I tend to glance at the popup on the corner of my screen to see who, what the subject/priority might be.

hmm, if I want that Valentine treat I better fix that image missing on this form. Remind me tonight :)
